The Same Love

Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark….” John 20: 1

It was in the air, Jesus Christ was crucified. The news ran across nation and shook the faith and belief of many in and around the vicinity of Jerusalem. Many had believed Jesus and had put their hopes in Him but invain. Their hopes were shattered. The curtains fell over and that was the end of it!

Three days later, When it was still dark and while the sun stood hiding; Mary Magdalene, a beloved devote of Jesus, ran to the tomb.
A few days ago, this very Mary ran towards Jesus while He was coming to meet them and Jesus raised her brother Lazarus.
And now she runs with the SAME LOVE but to the dead Jesus who would do no good thing to her.

What would you get by going to a dead Jesus? All hopes shattered, all dreams gone by, all that was built had been trampled.

And when all of Jerusalem were still mourning, and doors still shut; Mary woke up early. Her love for the Lord was matchless. It didnt die with Jesus. She reached Him even when He was gone. She ran to the tomb to see Jesus, O yes, a dead Jesus! That was the undying love she had for her Lord.

Today, Jesus is not in the tomb, He is not dead but risen. Ask yourself, how much do you love Him? Does your heart long for Him? Does it run to meet Him? To talk to Him? Do you look for Him even when He does no good to you? Have you ever had something to give Him? Mary took spices for Him, that’s what she did for a dead Jesus. What more you and I should, for the risen one?

Where are today’s Mary?

Mary woke up early, and ran! Before the day is up, before the fall is over, before the time runs out, even when the darkness is still out, even when all hope is shattered, even when everything is wrong, rise up and run to Jesus. All your dead hopes will resurrect back to Life.
