It was an evening of a cloudy day, the little rain did shower its droplets and the drizzling dawned a sense of peace and calmness. I sat in my balcony, lifted my eyes and before me lay the green fields so beautiful and analogous with the breeze gently blowing over it. Wondering at the elegance in beauty of creation, so unique and perfect, my mind took its turn into a mystery unfold; Of a person who has most often been neglected today as much as before and of whose artistry and design my eyes beheld its beauty. As much as the architect is appreciated & attributed to the building’s beauty, so is with the architect of our creation. The Grand architect of the universe and the heaven. Yes, she is none other than ‘wisdom’.
The Bible dedicates 3 major books describing the wisdom and wisdom as a person, an entity and not some kind of intellectual power. Word of GOD clearly affirms wisdom as ‘she’, referring to a person, like the person Holy Spirit (Proverb 1:20). It is important to know who actually wisdom is and what is her role in our lives and in God’s kingdom as a whole.

When God created the heavens and the earth, Wisdom was God’s great grand architect (Proverbs 8:30). She was the master workman beside God setting up the dimensions, parameters, applying the geometrics, algebra and mathematics combined physics, chemistry and biology. The plan and elevation view in a glimpse. Wisdom held in her hand every detailed blue print of whole creation including the heavens. She had instructions, insights, knowledge and life! When David, a man after God’s own heart longed to build a resting place for God, he was forbidden but Solomon his son was given the privilege, now the thing which Solomon asked as a gift was not a simple one but beyond any value attributed. God was pleased as it was His own architect Solomon asked for. Now there is no better person than wisdom to build a temple in the likeness and manner of GOD. Solomon built the temple of God with God’s own architect! It was so adorable that there was never a temple built so much beautiful and adorable before and after! The Glory filled the temple!

When Solomon asked for Wisdom, it was not just a flash of Genie wish out of context. If you were given a chance to ask anything, you would surely ask the most important thing that matters to you. The Top 1 in your list. Proverb 4 speaks of how Solomon was given such rich revelation and knowledge about Wisdom. It came from his father David. David the man after God’s own heart, in his journey of ups and downs, scars and bruises; he realized the importance of wisdom and received the revelation of it. For he received it from GOD and knew how better it is to have wisdom besides the Holy Spirit and the anointing. Proverbs 4:7 says ‘the wisest thing to ask is for wisdom’, for somewhere around the corner of his heart David knew that God would visit Solomon one day and he thus prepared him for such a time as this!

When Noah was given the instructions, Wisdom stood next to God giving the dimensions of the boat, the width and height; the density and the center of buoyancy; the capacity, strength and the quality of wood. When the tabernacle details were given, the inner court and the outer stretch, wisdom did the math. At the creation Wisdom gave the blue print, GOD spoke it and the Holy Spirit brought it into completion. She gave insights, revelations, knowledge and life to men of God over the centuries. But sadly, such a precious one now stands at the city gates, at cross roads with her voice lifted to the people going into the city – ‘Take my instruction for it is life, it is healing to your bones. I have teaching and wisdom. I have understanding and power. The fear of the Lord is to hate what is sinful. I hate pride, self-love, the way of sin, and lies. Riches and honor are mine.’ but sadly, people seem to bypass her, Ignore her voice and walk their way into destruction.

How badly we need wisdom today more than in any other generation. We have neglected, ignored, did not choose her and the result – ‘My people perish because of lack of knowledge’ – Hosea 4:6. The church today suffers because we’ve rejected wisdom and despised her. We’re tired journeying our way, trying to figure out our messed up lives while wisdom is standing at the cross roads of our lives wanting to help us reach our destiny and God given eternal purposes.
Back into the balcony, the cold breeze still howling over, I saw wisdom in the magnificent and splendid creation. There she stood behind. I now know a person so close like never before. I never saw her so greatly in a view as this! Indeed, She is the very own attribute of GOD.

Proverbs 4:5-7 “Sell everything and buy wisdom! Forage for understanding! Don’t forget one word! Don’t deviate an inch! Never walk away from wisdom – She guards your life; love her – she keeps her eye on you. Above all and before all, do this: Get wisdom! Write this on the top of your list: Get understanding! (MSG Version)
James 1:5 – ‘If anyone of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God, He shall give generously to all…’
