The Hope of a Tomb

Empty and desolate lay the tomb! Hopelessness and darkness made their dwelling. Nobody wanted it, nobody liked it. It received nothing but the dead and that’s all the world offered it. Tired of receiving only the dead, there it lay for a purpose – unknown, unseen and different; a hope, a ray of light, a change and for its deliverer!

Then came a day – in came the dead. The entrance was shut. but this one was strange. No stain of sin was found in Him. His blood held Holiness and carried the royal line. As the tomb stared and stared, something happened. The tomb shook, trembled and came alive. Little did the tomb realize that it was shut with its creator – the God of heaven and earth! Little by little the light shone brightly – never did it witness such a great light in all its fullness! As it continued to watch, miracle exploded and the power of resurrection manifested in all its brightness, radiance and glory – there stood the body that once was dead – Alas, it’s the Deliverer! There He stands in the light of eternity and His glory filled the tomb! It was the first life emerging out of death! It was the first light shining out of darkness! It was the first hope out of endless hopelessness! It was the first beginning of all the end! It was the first answer to its long-awaited prayers! It was the sound of deliverance after the fall of mankind!

The tomb found its Life. It’s no longer the dead, but life birthed out of it. It began with the birth of the Creator who turned its purpose from lifeless center into a life generating one and the transforming power of the resurrection to dwell within. The tomb turned into a womb – giving birth to the resurrected Savior! The hope of the tomb restored!

The son of Man was down and a seed was sown; the power was brought and the Life sprang out. Purpose restored and destiny renewed. Emptiness banished and darkness vanished! Light filled and hope thrilled. Savior revealed and Victory sealed.

Now, that’s what happens when you meet Jesus!

He who is able to turn the tomb into a womb, is also able to turn anything into everything. For nothing is impossible with Him. Power so great indescribable and incomprehensible. The Resurrection power of Jesus Christ – The assured Hope!

Artists without the Art!

A Little child was very fascinated to paint. Excited, she demanded her mother the tools needed for the painting. She gathered wide range of beautiful colors, variety of brushes, mixtures, sketch board and drawing sheets. She had been collecting since many days, she now has all the required stuff in abundance and she is all set to paint. She took the brush, carefully blended it with her favourite red color, pointed towards the drawing sheet and suddenly stopped! ‘But, what do I paint?’ thought the child. ‘I love to paint, I’m enthralled by the amazing colors, I’ve got them all with me but I don’t know what to paint!!’. Everything required to paint was ready but not the picture! She thought and thought, scribbled haphazardly, exhausted her drawing sheets and finally gave up.

Her mother sitting next to her saw the child’s struggle, drew near to her, gave her a picture, explaining her held her hands and started painting along. A beautiful painting was made, it was an eye capturing one! The child looked intently at it and it was worth all that she brought forth together.

Ironically, we all are like the kid. We have been busy acquiring everything we need in our lives; learning and running, buying and building, earning and spending, choosing and chasing, making and breaking. We struggle through life’s hardships for all that we could possess and finally get to nothing, we don’t have a purpose. We don’t have a destiny! We haven’t figured it out and all our sketch board of our lives are nothing but a meaningless art. We come to the junction of our Life’s sketch and we are clueless. We live, breath and have our being without a picture or a vision.

Life is driven by a mad race to nowhere. An Artist is not an artist without an art. A Man is not a man without a destiny & purpose! A Life without purpose is like an artist without an art. Every person is born for a reason, driven by a purpose, designed to be a beautiful picture; skillful, meaningful and elegant. Like the child, we are clueless. Like the child’s mother, someone is required to guide us and GOD is the one who gives us the picture. He gives us the meaning and destiny to our lives. He guides and leads us, takes us through ups and downs, twists and turns, back and forth, blends us with dazzling colors and is the greatest artist ever. Let God take over your life, give Him your sketch board, allow Him to paint along. The Grand picture in His hand will hold beauty, meaning and unleash charm to the viewer. All that you’ve been through will be worth what will be made of you!

Victory is Plural!

Have you ever wondered how a warfare would be? Imagine a soldier’s fight? We read in the book of Judges, Joshua, Kings, Samuel and so on, the war lasted for a certain time, a day and sometimes days! Joshua fought day and night; Gideon turned the tables around; Samson smashed thousands at a time; David fought and slayed nearly 10,000. Now it’s nice to hear, but hard to imagine! They were called winning Soldiers. A winning soldier is always awake, conscious of every move and careful of every step. There is the enemy coming from all corners, in every direction, not just one but many, not just once but often, of different kind; powerful, strong and smart. It demands the soldier his alertness to stand throughout the war and be there till he hears and see the victory. A soldier doesn’t win just by knocking down one enemy alone, he has to strike all the enemies in the battleground to finish the war. He has to be consistent, continues and alive. He may have hurts and cuts, blows and bleed, but he will stand the fight with all his might to the end. A Victorious Soldier stands above in all manner of attack.

Are you facing problems one after the other today? Are you tired of battles in life and have given up lately?

King David won mighty battles, but before he did the greater, he won the smaller ones. Before he won over Goliath, he got over lions and bear. Before he rescued the mighty Israel, he rescued the lambs. Before he became a faithful King, he was a faithful Shepherd! With every blow He became stronger and stronger. With every encounter he grew confident, with every little knowing God he kept knowing HIM more. He grew up from little obedience to greater obedience; from goodness to greatness; from a little seed to a tree of everlasting covenant. From nothing to everything! It was a process of endurance and test. He learnt slowly but picked up quickly. It took 14 long years of battles and struggles before he could sit on the throne. He didn’t give up, with every battle he soared higher and higher.

As long as Moses lifted his hands, Israel were winning. They held his hands high until the Victory sound. Victory is not one shot. It’s not one time. It’s Plural! It is a progressive series from learning-growing-marching forward – step by step, little by little, One by one. The Soldier grows closer to victory with each blow on his enemy. Our Spiritual life is a battle ground. In every round, stand the ground till the Victory’s sound. It’s the end that matters! So don’t stop, it’s not over yet. Keep the fight – till the dawn of light.

‘But the one who endure to the end will be saved’. Mat 24:13

We are called to walk and witness the Victorious shouts of the end !

One step a day,

Many steps to lay,

The Victory step on it’s way!!!

Daring to walk Supernatural!

Paint 1

Something must have stirred Peter out of the boat. He wasn’t one of them, he refused to be contended and satisfied. He said to himself – there must be more. Is this what I have come across so far knowing God of eternity and yet how do I not dare walk like the master? If the master is walking , I must also walk. Oh yes, the storm may be raging, I may be in the flip of danger, I know the winds, I know it’s depth, I know it’s danger. I’m well acquainted with sailing and the waves hold my childhood memories, I know for sure that it is impossible to walk on the water. It doesn’t allow any!! But I’ve known and felt the power of the creator, creator even of the waters and of heaven and earth. I’m believing God for a supernatural, something that never happened in all its history. I’m stepping into spiritual realm. I’m moving out, I’m moving ahead!

Paint 2

Peter, stepped out of the boat! He said if it was Jesus , he would be commanded to walk into it. For he knew his master alone could do such supernatural miracles and wonders. He wanted one. He was ready to walk over his past, his natural understanding, his disbeliefs, his routines, his constrains, his impossibilities, his failures, his old life. He understood that those who know the Lord shall do greater exploits. The very reason his master manifested the supernatural was to quicken the ready and he was ready. He fixed his gaze on Jesus, as he stepped out, the disciples watched in awe, the power to walk out drawn from fixing his eyes on Jesus, his knowledge and revelation of God established his steps and stirred him out. His first step from boat into the water turned him to a history maker. His faith went ahead of his steps. He stepped into a life of adventure. He experienced the impossible as he kept walking towards Jesus, every step became challenging and wonderful.

Paint 3

We too, like peter, are called for such a life of adventure, daring to step out, daring to live on the edge; daring to do the impossible; daring to believe God for supernatural; a life full of wonders, miracles; a life of faith, a life of great exploits. Jesus calls us for such a life of walking out extra ordinary. But are we ready? Is our faith strong enough to take such step? Are you one among the called and quickened? Now therefore raise up, get ready, if you know your God, you better walk out into such a life!

Above all and before all, do this: Get wisdom!

Tested1

It was an evening of a cloudy day, the little rain did shower its droplets and the drizzling dawned a sense of peace and calmness. I sat in my balcony, lifted my eyes and before me lay the green fields so beautiful and analogous with the breeze gently blowing over it. Wondering at the elegance in beauty of creation, so unique and perfect, my mind took its turn into a mystery unfold; Of a person who has most often been neglected today as much as before and of whose artistry and design my eyes beheld its beauty. As much as the architect is appreciated & attributed to the building’s beauty, so is with the architect of our creation. The Grand architect of the universe and the heaven. Yes, she is none other than ‘wisdom’.

The Bible dedicates 3 major books describing the wisdom and wisdom as a person, an entity and not some kind of intellectual power. Word of GOD clearly affirms wisdom as ‘she’, referring to a person, like the person Holy Spirit (Proverb 1:20). It is important to know who actually wisdom is and what is her role in our lives and in God’s kingdom as a whole.

P5

When God created the heavens and the earth, Wisdom was God’s great grand architect (Proverbs 8:30). She was the master workman beside God setting up the dimensions, parameters, applying the geometrics, algebra and mathematics combined physics, chemistry and biology. The plan and elevation view in a glimpse. Wisdom held in her hand every detailed blue print of whole creation including the heavens. She had instructions, insights, knowledge and life! When David, a man after God’s own heart longed to build a resting place for God, he was forbidden but Solomon his son was given the privilege, now the thing which Solomon asked as a gift was not a simple one but beyond any value attributed. God was pleased as it was His own architect Solomon asked for. Now there is no better person than wisdom to build a temple in the likeness and manner of GOD. Solomon built the temple of God with God’s own architect! It was so adorable that there was never a temple built so much beautiful and adorable before and after! The Glory filled the temple!

Tested3

When Solomon asked for Wisdom, it was not just a flash of Genie wish out of context. If you were given a chance to ask anything, you would surely ask the most important thing that matters to you. The Top 1 in your list. Proverb 4 speaks of how Solomon was given such rich revelation and knowledge about Wisdom. It came from his father David. David the man after God’s own heart, in his journey of ups and downs, scars and bruises; he realized the importance of wisdom and received the revelation of it. For he received it from GOD and knew how better it is to have wisdom besides the Holy Spirit and the anointing. Proverbs 4:7 says ‘the wisest thing to ask is for wisdom’, for somewhere around the corner of his heart David knew that God would visit Solomon one day and he thus prepared him for such a time as this!

p4

When Noah was given the instructions, Wisdom stood next to God giving the dimensions of the boat, the width and height; the density and the center of buoyancy; the capacity, strength and the quality of wood. When the tabernacle details were given, the inner court and the outer stretch, wisdom did the math. At the creation Wisdom gave the blue print, GOD spoke it and the Holy Spirit brought it into completion. She gave insights, revelations, knowledge and life to men of God over the centuries. But sadly, such a precious one now stands at the city gates, at cross roads with her voice lifted to the people going into the city – ‘Take my instruction for it is life, it is healing to your bones. I have teaching and wisdom. I have understanding and power. The fear of the Lord is to hate what is sinful. I hate pride, self-love, the way of sin, and lies. Riches and honor are mine.’ but sadly, people seem to bypass her, Ignore her voice and walk their way into destruction.

p6

How badly we need wisdom today more than in any other generation. We have neglected, ignored, did not choose her and the result – ‘My people perish because of lack of knowledge’ – Hosea 4:6. The church today suffers because we’ve rejected wisdom and despised her. We’re tired journeying our way, trying to figure out our messed up lives while wisdom is standing at the cross roads of our lives wanting to help us reach our destiny and God given eternal purposes.

Back into the balcony, the cold breeze still howling over, I saw wisdom in the magnificent and splendid creation. There she stood behind. I now know a person so close like never before. I never saw her so greatly in a view as this! Indeed, She is the very own attribute of GOD.

p3

Proverbs 4:5-7 “Sell everything and buy wisdom! Forage for understanding! Don’t forget one word! Don’t deviate an inch! Never walk away from wisdom – She guards your life; love her – she keeps her eye on you. Above all and before all, do this: Get wisdom! Write this on the top of your list: Get understanding! (MSG Version)

James 1:5 – ‘If anyone of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God, He shall give generously to all…’

Proposed Life Vs Purposed Life

p1

There is always a point drawn behind every reason for what we do and why we do. ‘What we do is followed by why we do’. And why we do is anchored by Purpose. GOD has created us for a purpose and the purpose is to be found only in Him. But we forget the purpose and cling to the proposed ways of the world. A lifestyle that comes our way as the world offers and we get along with it. It could even be a life that we plan for ourselves, a lifestyle we propose and choose to walk into it! We grow around the cross, attend Sunday school services, sing hymns, songs and learn memory verses, join the choir, get along in fellowships, and do good in all our academics and keep moving but strangely , we do not know our Destiny! We get into a bus that just passes our way and we know not where to get down but as long as the bus is moving we are fine to be in the bus expecting somewhere down the lane lies our destiny and keep awaiting till the time comes. But in reality, you might miss your stop if you don’t know your destiny. Most of us are all co-journers. We are all journeying but to an unknown place and unknown destiny. We are just moving because we’re living.

images

I’m reminded of a person in the Bible, from the Book of Exodus, a man who saw GOD face to Face! Yes, He was a man who ran off from the claws of death. Emerging out of trouble, he settled in the land of Midian. He found a place, a community, a job and also a partner. All a person can expect to have! He had it all! He was well settled and also had a son. Roaming around the mountain of God – Horeb, he also found comfort in attending Sunday services, worships, fellowship, festivals and a decent lifestyle of a shepherd. Riches abounded within the valleys and mountains around. Sheep grew, mated and multiplied. Business expanded.

p3

Everything seemed well, but somewhere around the corner of his heart, he felt the emptiness. The small still voice inside him didn’t stop whispering. With the growing world, proposed riches and the comfort, the inner voice echoed his Purpose. Every day, as he was tending the sheep, in the stillness, the still voice grew louder and he inclined his ears to it. He shut the door of the proposed comfort around and saw within, a great purpose awaiting for him! Little did he realize that he was the answer for a million prayers, cries that piled up for 400 years and the vessel that contained a million tears ! GOD gave him everything and in all of it, GOD expected him to turn towards Him to seek His face and find his destiny. When he could no longer resist as the voice grew stronger & louder, GOD appeared to him in the bush! The bush was burning but not consumed. It was an unusual sight, GOD stood over to watch if Moses would turn over to see the sight of GOD and catch his destiny. The bible says, Moses turned around to see and when GOD saw him turning around, He called him MOSES!

p2

Let me pause here, there is a moment in all our lives where GOD would reveal himself through signs, wonders, miracles, HIS Word, HIS presence and in all supernatural occurrences and manifestations, Many of us like the Israelites see great wonders of GOD and forget! We don’t give a second look. We are taken away by the Miracle and not the Miracle Maker. We praise GOD and over a period of time we forget. But GOD would watch if we turn to seek Him and not the miracle.

Moses looked beyond what he can see & was caught! He turned around to see and the Voice called out! It’s the voice that was the answers for many prayers of his ancestors. The Moment Moses found GOD, He found his destiny! He found his purpose. He found the answers for all his questions. He found strength amidst his weakness. He found deliverance which was long-awaited for 400 years. He found life and the light that would lead him forever! He left the proposed comfort, riches, community, place, and the job and followed the purposed life! A life driven with purpose. He found the destiny and he knew exactly where to go. The same still voice that whispered now became the guiding voice that lead him all his life.

images (9)

What a transition from life which was proposed to a life of purpose! A true encounter alone will reveal the purpose. There is a stage where every one of us will come to that junction of a life proposed by world and a life called for a purpose. We’ve been enough in and around Mount Horeb, and settled with little or less significant lives! Remember, you are the answer for someone else’s prayers! It is to the Cross we are called to cling and not around! It’s time we fix our eyes and gaze on HIM! Fellowships, churches and prayer meetings won’t do! Only a true encounter will have your life turn around! From a proposed lifestyle to a purposeful living!!!

The Heart of GOD!

H1

I believe the greatest achievement is to have the heart of GOD. Could it be ever possible that one could have it?

h2

GOD testified David as a man after HIS own heart ( 1 Samuel 13:14 ). We are filled with all kinds of wicked & evil thoughts, intentions, motives and character; some by birth and some we have acquired along the way. But What caught the attention of God towards us?

h3

The LORD has sought out for Himself a man after His own heart(1 Samuel 13:14)

Let me ask you a question, If GOD could seek one such man today, will HE be able to find you???

h4

Let GOD rub HIS nature upon ours that we inherit the character of GOD, that we walk in HIS status, be sensitive to HIM and, Live a lifestyle that please GOD alone!

h5

Oh GOD, Today we ask thee to take away this heart of stone; a wicked and deceiving, perverted heart. Give us the heart of soft and gentle, love and compassion, sensitive and humble; all through our journey in this life, we would carry your heart and please only thee. We would come out of our comfort and selfish attitude, we would step out to reach the highest., we would listen to you as you whisper. Align us to your ways that we would dwell within your courts. Have your way, take all the glory and met all your needs through us. Rip us off our selfish ways. For eternity with you – In Jesus name – Amen!
